Community Guidelines
Last updated: June 16, 2021

Oi Mascoteers! We created Mascot to be a friendly community for everyone to hang out, explore different personas, and make new friends. It’s important to us that everyone can have a fun experience, which is why we have the community guidelines in place. We are continuously improving Mascot with new safety features to help protect yourself, and you’re encouraged to report others who are breaking the rules. If people are found to be breaking the community guidelines, we may take action by removing content and banning accounts. We hope that these efforts can deliver a safer and better experience for you in Mascot. Have fun!

  1. No harassment. This means no repeated or continuous activity with the intent to alarm, annoy, or emotional distress others.

  2. No hate speech. This means no activity targeting others based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, body shape or size, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or disabilities.

  3. No threats. This means no direct or indirect threats, intimidation, invading privacy, as well as sharing or threatening to share someone’s private personal information (also known as doxxing), and inciting others to commit violent acts.

  4. No stalking. This means no repetitive messaging to others who have blocked you or told you to stop messaging them. Do not create multiple accounts to evade user blocks. Do not solicit others to message or harass someone on your behalf.

  5. No impersonation. This means do not deliberately mislead others by impersonating someone else through fake accounts

  6. No sexualizing minors. This means no sharing content or links which display minors in a pornographic, sexually suggestive, or violent manner. We will report any sexually predatory behavior to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's CyberTipline.

  8. No Prohibited Content. This means no content that displays suicide or self-harm, sadistic gore or animal cruelty.

  9. No illegal behavior. This means no activity that is breaking the law in Mascot. If discovered, you may be reported to the law enforcement.

  10. No spamming. This means no links to unsolicited products or services in an attempt to drive people to external websites; do not make false and malicious reports, send multiple reports about the same issue, or ask a group of users to all report the same content to our Customer Support and Trust & Safety teams. This may lead to action being taken on your account.
